Blood type and health
Before talking more about blood type, what is the blood group?
Blood type is a blood clarification on a
person based on the presence of antigens found in red blood cells.
Based on the presence of antigen in the
membrane of red blood cells, there are four types of blood groups.
·
Blood type A
·
Blood type B
·
Blood group AB
·
Blood type O
The spread of blood groups in each country
varies greatly. However, the blood group O generally dominates the number of
countries in the world, especially in Western Europe and America. Meanwhile,
AB's blood group includes minorities. Blood type A is found in the Eastern
European and Central European regions. Blood type B found many in the Asian
region and AB blood group average in East Asia area (NCBI, 8 May 2012).
Speaking of blood groups, our minds are often
focused only on blood transfusions. It is undeniable, knowing that blood type
is necessary when one has to undergo a blood transfusion due to an accident or
a health condition. However, the importance of knowing the blood group is not
only limited to the process of blood transfusions. Blood type turned out to be
very related to our health.
Blood type turned out to be a very important means
to understand our body's reaction to food, our body's vulnerability to disease,
and the body's natural reaction to stress.
Why does one easily lose weight and not be
easily attacked, while others do not?
From the research done, Adamo suggests that a person
with a certain blood group has a higher risk of developing certain
diseases. For example, a person with a
blood group O has a lower risk of developing heart disease, but the higher risk
is affected. Blood type A is A group of the high risk of microbial infections
and high fertility. The blood group AB and B have a higher risk of developing
pancreatic cancer.
People who have a blood group A average have
higher levels of cortisol hormones than others. The production of cortisol
hormones will increase when they are stressed. Cortisol hormones function to
restore body balance when a person experiences stress. That is why cortisol
hormones are known as stress hormones.

Blood type O
If another blood group produces more cortisol
hormones when stressed, then the person with the blood group O will fight the
stress by increasing the production of the adrenaline hormones, the heart rate
is increased so that blood flow participates Improved as well. This hormone
plays an important role in overcoming heart disease.
Recovery of stress in people with blood type O
faster than other blood groups. Thus, the body's reaction to facing stress
turns out different. And the blood group contributed to it.
The benefits of knowing blood type:
·
Understand our body's
reaction to food.
·
The vulnerability of our
body to disease.
·
The body's natural
reaction to stress.
